This Privacy Policy explains what information Animmo (the "Website") collects, why, and the choices you have. The Website is operated by the operator of Animmo, which is the data controller for the processing described here.
Summary
- We do not sell your personal data.
- You can browse without an account.
- Airing times are converted to your time zone inside your own browser; we don't store your location.
- Videos are embedded from YouTube and load only when you press play.
-We keep only aggregated, anonymous traffic statistics.
Information we collect
Automatically, when you visit:
- technical data such as IP address, approximate country derived from it, browser type, device type, referring page and the pages you view;
- aggregated statistics about page views and searches, which are not linked to your identity;
- security logs used to prevent abuse, fraud and attacks.
If you post a comment we store the name and text you submit and a hashed network identifier used to prevent spam.
If you contact us or send a removal request we store the details you provide so we can respond.
YouTube videos
Trailers and official episodes are provided through YouTube API Services. They are shown with a thumbnail first; YouTube is contacted only when you press play, and then through the privacy-enhanced (youtube-nocookie.com) player. When a video plays, Google may collect information about your device and viewing under the Google Privacy Policy (https://policies.google.com/privacy). You can review and revoke access that Google services have to your data at https://myaccount.google.com/permissions. By watching these videos you agree to the YouTube Terms of Service (https://www.youtube.com/t/terms).
Other third-party content
Series artwork is loaded from AniList image servers, and news images from the original publishers. Loading an image shares your IP address and browser details with the server that hosts it, as with any web page. Links to streaming services and news publishers take you to websites with their own privacy policies.
Cookies and local storage
- Essential: remembering your cookie choice, and protecting forms against abuse.
- Preferences: theme (light/dark) and similar settings, stored in your browser.
- Embedded YouTube videos may set cookies once you press play, governed by Google's policies.
How we use information
- to provide, secure and improve the Website;
- to detect and prevent fraud, abuse and scraping;
- to comply with legal obligations and respond to your requests.
Our legal bases (where GDPR or similar laws apply) are: our legitimate interests in running and protecting the Website, compliance with legal obligations, and your consent where required.
Sharing
We share information only with service providers that help us run the Website, under confidentiality obligations: hosting and content delivery (Cloudflare). We may also disclose information when required by law, to protect the rights and safety of others, or as part of a business transfer. Some providers process data outside your country, including in the United States, relying on appropriate safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses where required.
Retention
- Security and server logs: kept for a short period, normally no more than 30 days, unless needed to investigate abuse.
- Aggregated statistics: kept indefinitely because they do not identify you.
- Removal requests: kept as long as needed to handle them and document compliance.
Your rights
Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR, UK GDPR or California CCPA/CPRA) you may have the right to access, correct, delete or export your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to withdraw consent at any time. To exercise these rights, contact us through our contact form at /dmca. You can also complain to your local data-protection authority.
Children
The Website is not directed to children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA and UK), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Security
We use encryption in transit (HTTPS), hashed passwords, access controls and monitoring to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, but we work to protect your data and will notify you where the law requires.
Changes
We may update this Policy from time to time. The date at the top shows when it last changed.
